Privacy policy
Data we collect. Name, email, phone number, address, arrival/departure dates, number of guests, payment details (processed by Stripe / Smoobu — we do not store card numbers ourselves), and, where required, Swiss guest-registration (Meldepflicht) details for every overnight guest.
Why we collect it. To process and confirm bookings, communicate with guests before and during their stay, meet Swiss guest-registration and Kurtaxe obligations, and improve the service.
Who we share it with. Our channel-manager provider (Smoobu), our payment processor (Stripe), and, where legally required, the local tourism authority and municipal registration office. We do not sell guest data.
Your rights. Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, guests can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data by writing to info@owlsnest.ch.

Terms & conditions
- Booking & payment. Full payment is due at the time of booking. Accepted methods: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer.
- Rates. CHF 250 per night in high season — October to February, plus April, plus July and August (7-night minimum stay); CHF 200 per night in low season — March, May, June, and September (3-night minimum stay). A flat cleaning fee of CHF 125 is charged once per stay, in addition to the nightly rate and Kurtaxe.
- Cancellation. More than one month before check-in — full refund; one month to one week before — 50% refund; less than one week before — no refund.
- Check-in / check-out. Check-in from 15:00; check-out by 10:00.
- House rules. No smoking inside the flat; no parties or events; quiet hours 22:00–07:00; pets not allowed; maximum occupancy 8 guests.
- Guest registration. All overnight guests must be registered per Swiss law (Meldepflicht); ID details for every guest are collected at booking or check-in.
- Visitor's tax (Kurtaxe). CHF 4 per guest per night, set by the Meiringen-Hasliberg tourism region, charged as a separate line item at checkout.
- Liability. Guests are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Owl's Nest is not liable for loss of personal belongings, except where required by Swiss law.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by Swiss law; disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich.
